He began his career in the lending sector 20 years ago and now focuses on investments in Latvia, as well as exporting business models to other European countries. Maksims Mališko is a co-owner of 28 companies and holds leading positions in several of them. The best known is Grand Credit, which operates in the non-bank lending sector; its policy is focused on financing small and medium-sized enterprises, offering direct investments, loans for starting a business, mortgage loans, as well as financing development projects. Less well known, but just as successful, is another of Maksims Mališko’s companies – NORD Leasing, where he is also Chairman of the Board. NORD Leasing is a licensed leasing company specializing in car leasing services in the B2B segment, offering financing for companies to purchase cars.
Mališko is also the owner of the company SIA Rīgas Īpašumu Fonds, which is engaged in investments in commercial properties and property leasing. The lettable area of this company’s real estate portfolio is more than 120 thousand square meters.
In November 2020, Estonian media reported that Mališko had invested 21 million euros in the Estonian real estate market, acquiring business parks – Priisle Business Park in the largest Tallinn district of Lasnamäe and K2 Loftoffice in Mustamäe. Mališko entered the neighboring country’s real estate market together with the local Estonian company 1more Project, of which 90% belongs to him. The investment portfolio also includes another Estonian company, Brick Project, which specializes in investments in industrial projects; the total lettable area is 20 thousand square meters.
