An international artificial intelligence community “AI Salon” is coming to Latvia

This November in Riga, “AI Salon” will begin operations – an international artificial intelligence (AI) community that brings together AI startup founders, developers, investors and partners to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and new connections, Tet reports.

“AI Salon operates in more than 40 cities around the world, and in each of them we see how the strength of the local community accelerates innovation and creates opportunities for entrepreneurs, researchers and developers,” says community founder Jeffrey Abbott. “We are truly excited to start operations in Riga as well – a city with rapidly growing interest in artificial intelligence and strong potential to become the AI hub of the Baltics.”

The aim of “AI Salon” is to create an environment where members of the AI ecosystem can meet, collaborate and learn from one another. The community’s vision is to foster the growth of strong and interconnected local AI communities, supporting members in becoming more proficient and able to use AI in their products, processes and organizations.

In Riga, the newly established community will organize monthly free events that will be open to anyone interested and tailored to the needs of the local ecosystem. The events will follow a unified format featuring local and international guest speakers, presentations, networking opportunities and community time to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The first meetup and community launch will take place on 6 November and will feature the director of the Artificial Intelligence Center (MIC) Natālija Čerņecka, Tet Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Dmitrijs Ņikitins, as well as the Chair of the Board of the Artificial Intelligence Association of Latvia, Oksana Sivokobiļska.

This is an important step for Latvia’s artificial intelligence ecosystem. As a technology company that works daily with data, cloud services and cybersecurity, we see how important it is to bring founders, developers, researchers and investors together in one place. Only by working together can ideas more quickly turn into practical solutions – in productivity, automation and security. We are pleased to welcome “AI Salon” in Riga and proud to be a platform where experience, knowledge and innovation meet, strengthening our competitiveness in the Baltics and worldwide,” emphasizes D. Ņikitins.

“AI Salon” differs from other communities through a strong local group model, united by a shared global brand, a common visual identity and a strategic approach to long-term collaboration. The goal of the community is not just to organize individual events, but to build a sustainable, active ecosystem that promotes responsible AI use and the growth of innovation.
