KFC has opened a new restaurant in Riga

The fast food restaurant chain KFC has opened its eighth restaurant in Riga. In the Baltics, this is already the thirtieth.

KFC Baltics marketing manager Laura Linartaitė explains that KFC in Latvia continues to enjoy strong brand engagement, which is also driven by changes in eating habits. “Latvia has truly taken a liking to KFC. We see high brand loyalty and growing interest in chicken dishes,” she says. “More and more consumers are choosing white meat products [..] The opening of this restaurant strengthens our presence and ensures the brand’s accessibility and relevance to customers throughout Latvia and the Baltic region.”

The company’s financial indicators also confirm what she says. According to data from the Register of Enterprises compiled by Lursoft, the company, which is fully owned by the Lithuanian company APL fast food, whose ultimate beneficial owner is Estonian citizen Margus Linnamae, has increased both its turnover and profit over the past three years. In 2024 it had a turnover of 8.24 million euros and earned 493.17 thousand euros.

“We are pleased to have reached this important development milestone – the opening of the 30th KFC restaurant in the Baltics. Riga continues to show high customer demand, and Krasta Street is a strategically important location that allows us to be even closer to our guests,” says KFC Baltics (SIA APL Fresh Food) CEO and board member Deniss Tarasovs.

Deniss Tarasovs stresses that KFC’s development in the region is based on a long-term approach, focusing on expansion, carefully chosen locations, and restaurants that can efficiently serve a large number of guests. “The Krasta Street restaurant reflects this approach – a convenient, stand-alone location that complements our existing restaurant network and brings KFC closer to everyday routes without losing quality, speed, and service.”

The restaurant’s total area is 300 square metres, and it represents the new KFC restaurant concept designed for even more convenient customer service. The restaurant has 67 seats, digital self-service kiosks for quick and easy ordering, as well as a separate area for collecting delivery orders, ensuring smoother food handover.

“Modern consumers often lack time, they are digitally oriented and make decisions quickly while on the move, so convenience is one of the main factors influencing their choice. Demand for drive-through solutions and digital ordering is growing, especially in urban environments and among people with an active daily rhythm,” notes Linartaitė.
