Egg producer consolidates brands

The group of Latvian poultry and egg product manufacturing companies JSC APF Holdings, which includes Alūksnes putnu ferma, is changing its legal name to JSC Agrova Baltics and will henceforth be part of the Agrova brand group, which will also include the UK poultry company Sunrise Eggs, acquired in November 2025.

The Agrova brand will henceforth unite several companies whose largest shareholder is JSC Agrova International: Agrova Baltics (formerly APF Holdings) – Alūksnes putnu ferma (a full-cycle egg and liquid egg product plant in Alūksne with 5 poultry houses, a sorting line, a liquid egg product facility, a solar energy park) and the upcoming pullet rearing farm in Preiļi; Agrova UK Holding Limited –  Sunrise Group – one of the most recognized and largest egg producers in the Midlands region of the United Kingdom, supplying nationally important retail chains.

This structure enables the Agrova group to operate as a unified, vertically integrated platform covering the entire value chain – from feed production and pullet rearing to egg production and grading, development of liquid egg products, exports, and innovation.  Based on a strong agricultural heritage and enriched with extensive international experience, Agrova will combine tradition with modern science and global ambitions. The group is built on production platforms in Latvia and the United Kingdom, each with more than sixty years of continuous operating experience, together creating one of the most sustainable and future-oriented egg production ecosystems in Northern Europe.

The rebranding completes the first stage in the strategy of JSC Agrova International, which is focused on growth in European markets and on creating a unified identity for an international egg and egg protein production and trade platform. The group’s goals include expanding capacity in the Baltics to 450+ million eggs per year, a balanced export portfolio between the United Kingdom, the Baltics, and the EU, development of high value-added egg products, and strengthening digitalization, efficiency, and sustainability systems. The Agrova group was established in October 2025 by the previous largest shareholder of APF Holdings, Jurijs Adamovičs.

“I was born and raised in the Latvian countryside, in a family that understood agriculture to its roots. This experience instilled in me the conviction that food must be real and responsibly produced. Today, Agrova has grown from a small farm in Alūksne into a European-scale player in the egg and egg protein business with production capacity in the Baltics and the United Kingdom. We are building a sustainable, modern, and competitive group of companies that will be able to meet the growing European demand for egg products in the long term. Our mission is to promote the availability of the superpower of eggs to everyone,” notes the founder of  Agrova International.

The change of the legal name of APF Holdings to Agrova Baltics and its integration into the JSC Agrova International group, which operates under the global brand Agrova, will affect the group’s legal and operational structures, communication with investors and partners, product portfolio, and international positioning. The name change on the stock exchange and the related processes will be carried out in accordance with the Nasdaq Riga First North regulations.

Agrova is currently becoming one of the most efficient egg business platforms in Northern Europe, with high development and scaling potential. The European market is undergoing rapid changes – in retail, the transition to cage-free eggs continues, increasing the demand for barn and free-range eggs, and it is becoming ever more important to ensure a stable, regional supply chain. At the same time, 21 out of 36 European countries still import eggs. Therefore, in such a market situation, the Agrova model – a two-country production base, modern infrastructure, and vertical integration in Latvia – ensures price stability, predictable volumes, and reliable supply to retailers across Europe,” adds Adamovičs.
