The fairest pay in the small and medium-sized enterprise category is paid by Linde Gas, while in the large enterprise category it is paid by the Latvian branch of Accenture, according to the findings of the compensation research and management consulting company Figure Baltic Advisory.
The implementers of the study note that this year there was again strong competition, confirming that employers are paying increasing attention to fair remuneration. Several organizations rank among the fairest payers for several years in a row, but there are also new entrants in the top ten.
When creating the ranking of the fairest payers, special attention was paid to internal fairness – that is, how pay is set for identical positions within the company; external fairness – that is, how the company’s pay compares with labor market remuneration indicators, as well as the opportunities for both genders to hold managerial positions. Among the criteria, the proportion of men and women in management positions was also included.

Among the criteria, the proportion of men and women in management positions, starting from middle management level, was also included,” explains Figure Baltic Advisory data scientist Jānis Kaļķis.
“Fair pay is currently more important than ever before, especially given that next year the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on fair pay will enter into force. On the one hand, the labor market is moving toward greater individuality, and employees expect that their contribution will be recognized and rewarded more broadly than before, while also taking into account their individual needs. On the other hand, the transparency of pay policy and the rational use of invested funds are also important. This means that an organization must have a remuneration system that meets these requirements,” explains the company’s partner and lead consultant Anta Praņēviča.
Behind Linde Gas, the fairest payers in 2025 in the small and medium-sized organizations category are: Kuehne+Nage, Mintos Marketplace, DeskTime, Scandic Fusion, Stora Enso Packaging, KRKA Latvija, Eiropas dzelzceļa līnijas, Vitol Terminal Latvia and Intrum Global Technologies. In turn, in the large organizations category, after Accenture follow Dinair Filton, DNB Bank ASA Latvijas filiāle, JELD-WEN Latvija, Swedbank (Latvija), Lidl Latvija, Starptautiskā lidosta Rīga, Latvijas Valsts ceļi, SCHWENK Latvija and Rīgas ūdens.
The award for the fairest payers in Latvia has been presented since 2018 and goes hand in hand with the Figure Baltic Advisory General Compensation Survey. The ranking of the fairest payers takes into account several essential criteria: distribution of monthly base salary in positions of equal value (10%), distribution of total annual salary in positions of equal value (10%), differences in monthly base salary between women and men in identical positions (20%), difference in total annual salary between women and men in identical positions (20%), the proportion of women and men in senior management positions (10%), the proportion of employees whose monthly base salary is below the first market decile, i.e., the 10th percentile (10%), the proportion of employees whose total annual salary is below the first market decile, i.e., the 10th percentile (10%), as well as the proportion of employees in Riga and in the regions who are paid below a living wage (10%).
